Prince of Pop

I checked a book out at the public library, and I cannot put it down. I'm currently reading a biography about Andy Warhol, Prince of Pop. His life was so entertaining.

Here area couple of favorite statements that I've read thus far:
Andy, adopting his rold model Shirley Temple's attitude in movies, made everything fun. His philosophy was to keep busy, but "busy playing, because work is play when it's something you like."

"Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide whether it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they're deciding, make even more art."

And here's part of Andy Warhol's film, Eat, which is part of his independent experimental films. Andy didn't even know how to use a camera when he first went out to purchase one, but not knowing how to do something never stands in the way of a true artist.

This is Venus in Furs by the Velvet Underground, which features numerous photos of Andy, some of his artwork, and his followers from the Factory.

Now, I'm definitely inspired to work!
